One of the largest solar farms in the country

The 4,721 acre Prospero Energy Project solar farm is a photovoltaic system consisting of more than three million solar panels and is located in Andrews County, Texas. Prospero is owned by Longroad and AIP, and has a 12-year physical Power Purchase Agreement with Shell Energy North America (SENA) for the project’s output. This was one of the first off-take agreements of this type in the solar industry.

Propsero is expected to deliver more than $21 million to the state and local economy, including more than $12 million to the Andrews Independent School District.

This site represents approximately 400,000 metric tons of avoided CO2 emissions annually, the equivalent of taking approximately 96,000 gasoline-powered cars off the road for each year the project is operating.
